Acquaintance with plant pathology laboratory and equipment Use of microscope Culture media preparation Isolation of fungal and bacterial pathogens Plant disease diagnostic techniques – the study of symptoms, signs, syndrome, infectious and non-infectious diseases Preservation of disease samples – dry and wet methods Demonstration of Koch’s postulates for fungi and bacteria Management strategy of plant diseases Bio-control of plant pathogens Basic molecular techniques used in plant pathology laboratory (extraction of DNA, PCR, purification and sequencing, etc.)
